In Celebrating EV Vehicles, Volkswagen Ends Up Advertising the Chevy Bolt

As an automaker routinely named at the forefront of German engineering and manufacturing, Volkswagen is looking to the future with electric vehicle technology. To help raise awareness and enthusiasm around vehicle electrification, Volkswagen has launched an advertising campaign highlighting innovative electric vehicles that are pioneering the EV industry. Interestingly, as a result of the campaign, Volkswagen is spending millions advertising the Chevy Bolt EV.

In America, Volkswagen has established  a subsidiary titled “Electrify America,” which aims to establish a strong foundation in the states for vehicle electrification and “will invest $2 billion in Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure and education programs in the United States.” To get Americans interested in electric vehicles, Electrify America has launched a $45-million campaign, which heavily features the Chevrolet Bolt EV. While the Bolt EV is shown on screen, the commercial declares, “With instant acceleration, electric cars are more fun to drive – and more affordable – than ever.”

It’s easy to see why the Chevy Bolt EV is so appealing to contemporary drivers. Its crossover styling perfectly fits with modern design trends and makes it easily maneuvered around cities, and its ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds makes for an exhilarating ride.
