Summer is finally upon us, and the best place to make the most of it is right here Farmington. Here are just a few ways we think you can maximize your summer fun in our beautiful town this year.
The Farmington Farmers’ Market takes place all summer long. Not only will you have a lovely day in the sunshine, but you will keep your family supplied with fresh and healthy locally grown produce. Available items include eggs, meat, baked goods, maple syrup, honey, dairy products and produce. The Farmington Farmers’ Market takes place in the courthouse parking lot every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from May to October.
If you haven’t yet, we strongly encourage you to check out an event or exhibition at the Emery Community Arts Center, part of the University of Maine at Farmington. The center presents programs, features and shows at no cost to the Farmington community. This summer, pair a visit to Emery with a relaxing picnic on campus.
It’s no secret that our neck of the woods is full of natural splendor. All around the region, there is an almost unlimited supply of hiking, biking and horse-riding trails to explore solo or with the whole crew. Make a weekend of it and book a lot at one of Farmington’s numerous campgrounds.
No matter where in Farmington you’re headed, stop and see us at Hight Chevrolet Buick GMC if you’re in need of a new summer ride!
